S2e’s expertise and dedication in constructing our new STEM building were outstanding. Their ability to navigate challenges and deliver a top-quality educational facility reflects their commitment to excellence. We are immensely grateful for their contribution.
“The addition of this versatile and exciting facility to Martin High School has created greater opportunities to enhance health and well being for pupils and staff. It has also created a fantastic facility for the community, serving as a dedicated venue to optimise the sports offerings for individuals of all ages in the locality.
“Surveyors to Education (S2e) are nothing short of amazing! They are very supportive; they communicate consistently well and remove a lot of the stress of managing a big project. They have been both the designer and the school’s representative through the process and they really want to ensure we understand what is going on at each step of the process.”
“Together, we have overseen the replacement of a dilapidated temporary mobile with a state-of-the-art two-storey bespoke English and maths block which has enabled us to bring our departments together and create some fantastic spaces for our students to thrive”
We’re excited to announce that S2e will be exhibiting at the Schools & Academies Show (SAAS) London 2025, at ExCeL London on Thursday 15 May 2025! Visit S2e at stand D10 for a chance to win a free Thermography survey.
We are shining a light on Will Turton, BSc (Hons) MRICS, Associate Surveyor, a vital member of the S2e team who has been with the company since its early stages. His journey is a testament to dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for building surveying and the education sector. We recently had the opportunity to chat with Will about his experiences and insights.
The Department for Education have announced The School Estate Management Standards, described as an overarching principle to help schools manage their estates effectively. It represents the first new estates guidance issued by the current government and provides a clearer indication on their approach to school estate management.
Last week’s Spring Statement offered little new information for those interested in capital spending on school buildings. Greater clarity is expected following the June Spending Review, where the government will outline its plans for spending and key public sector reforms. While we await further details, here is what we currently know about school maintenance funding and 2025-26 allocations.
